Hello, Friends! <3
I hope you are well! It’s been a difficult 2024 here so far, but I know it will get better. Sometimes, balancing daily life is hard. I know you know that!
I head to Paris for RARE in a few days–I’m very excited. You know I love Paris! I had to trim my trip down considerably because of some health issues, but I am grateful to be going at all. I am planning to send more postcards! If you aren’t on the list, here it is again. I try to send as many as I can while I travel–and some letters, too.
I have my first translation! The Guardian of Blackbird Inn is now in French. That makes me happy.
Another cool tidbit–while I am in Paris, I will be staying at L’Hotel in the Oscar Wilde suite! I’ve stayed at the hotel once before–but not in the OW room. Oscar Wilde died in the hotel–so it’s kind of a pilgrimage. Think I will see his ghost? I usually get all anxious when traveling to historic hotels and end up sleeping with the light on. HAHA. I am really looking forward to it–the hotel is really cool. I absolutely love historic hotels–I will go hungry to stay in one, lol. Other visitors to this hotel in the past: Salvador Dalí, Princess Grace, Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, Jim Morrison, Serge Gainsbourg, Johnny Depp, Keanu Reeves, Mick Jagger and Anthony Bourdain. To have been a fly on the wall!
