Hello, I’m ND and I’m here to not only promote, but celebrate both the release of my first ever Beyond Fairytales story and the Christmas Holiday. I’m even giving away a $20 Amazon Gift Card and a copy of the book!
When I got to thinking about a blog tour, I decided I wanted to go with something that celebrates the holiday but isn’t strictly about promo. So here’s what I come up with…over the next six days, you – my dear readers, will get a glimpse of what a good old fashioned Christmas is like to a grown up cybernetic man who’s never experienced it. So pull up a chair, a glass of your favorite holiday drink – whether that be eggnog or apple cider, and enjoy a little holiday fun as Ivan introduces his master and lover to everything that we humans take for granted during the holiday season…
Silver Bells and Santa
Jingle-jingle.
Ivan heard the ring of the silver bells long before he saw them. Next to him, with his enhanced hearing Lucero paused. Which caused issues, since one didn’t stop in the middle of a sidewalk on West Ogden Ave during the busiest shopping day of the year.
“What is that beautiful sound?” Lucero cocked his head.
Behind them there were several disgruntled voices, even a shove as an impatient shopper pushed at Lucero. Not that it moved his Master very far. With his enhancements he was much heavier than he looked.
“Excuse me?” Lucero glanced over his shoulder.
“Move buddy!” An impatient woman carrying an armful of colorful bags growled. “It’s been a long day and I still have to go home make dinner for my kids.”
Seeing the stormy expression on Lucero’s face, he tugged gently on his Sir’s “arm. “Come on, Sir. Don’t you want the surprise I planned for you?” Ivan put an extra sultry emphasis on the word, hoping that it would catch Lucero’s attention.
Lucero looked away from the irate woman, desire and affection in his gaze. “Lead on, amans.”
Ivan gave a sigh of relief before pushing through the crowd. Finally, he managed to get guide his lover past the sea of bodies to the bell ringer who was dressed like Santa as he rang his silver bell. Most rushed by without comment but then it happened. A small girl, bundled in a pink parka and fuzzy ear muffs stopped and put a handful of change into the red bucket next to the jolly old elf.
“What is this?” Lucero asked.
“This is one of my Christmas gifts to you. The first.” Ivan gave a him a hesitant smile.
Whether it was pleasure or cold that flushed Lucero’s cheeks, Ivan was choosing to believe it was the former. It had taken some time and a pulling a few strings to give his Master this gift. A gift that didn’t cost money or wasn’t materialistic – Lucero’s two conditions. As a former healing unit from another realm, Lucero’s life had been one of caring and tending to his clutch’s needs. Something the man had loved until the clutch’s matriarch had turned a deaf ear to his pleas for his people.
“The bells?”
“In a fashion. Come on.” He lead Lucero over to the Santa. The cheery man looked up and smiled ear to ear.
“Ivan, my boy. Is this your man?”
Ivan nodded. “Yep.” Mindful of little ears, he spoke a little louder. “And we’ve decided that Santa needs a little break.” He took the bell from the decked in red man. “So go enjoy a hot chocolate inside and maybe a few cookies.”
“That would be great.” The Santa disappeared into a nearby store.
Lucero gave him a puzzled look. “What are you doing?”
Tugging out two red Christmas hats, he placed one on Lucero’s wind blown curls, before putting his own on.
“It’s what we’re doing, Sir.” He leaned in. “You’ve said that you missed helping others. Well for an hour while Santa takes his dinner break, we’re going to do his job.” He leaned in and quickly explained how the Salivation Army worked and the meals and gifts that red bucket donations bought for those who couldn’t afford them.
Understanding lit up Lucero’s eyes. “And by ringing this bell, we can provide that?” Pleasure infused his lover to the point Ivan swore he could almost see it.
“Yes.”
“Well, then give me that bell.” Lucero took the bell and began to ring it, a genuine smile on his face.
Stay tuned tomorrow to find out what Lucero gives Ivan in return…on Tara Andrew’s blog. Blurb:
Once upon a time…there was this guy. A man who had an IQ out of this world and was arrogant enough to give the legendary Tony Stark a run for his money. He had everything he could ever want—a good job, more money than he knew what to do with, and all the sex he wanted—no strings attached. But that all changed on one fateful night…
The last thing Ivan Chugunov expects when he drop by his favorite haunt for a few brews is to be entertained by a mysterious storyteller. But as he listens to the man’s tale of a prince and an oddity that went by the name of Iron John, he finds himself lost in the story…only to awaken in another realm—one with a quest—for him. Repair the purifier vital to all those who lived and retrieve a medical unit. Seems simple enough and a small price to pay to return to his own time.
Well, until he finds out that said ‘LT-1789 unit’ is actually a reclusive cybernetic man. One who will demand his own price of Ivan—three nights of unbridled sexual bliss…with Ivan at his mercy. Only then will he return to the royal clutch.
Can Ivan, a man who relishes control above all else, submit to a man who may be more machine than human?
