has been very successful, wordage-wise. I am just shy of 14K in 5 days and I already feel like my word count muscles are growing. I’d like to get to the point where I can switch it up and work on a couple projects a day, but that may be a pipe dream. But one thing is for sure…I am aiming to write every single day. At least some words. At least one thousand. yeah.
I have mostly organized my fabrics, but I still have a pile of crafting stuff in my office. I could do the easy thing and toss them all in my back closet (where a ton more supplies live), but I am trying to be good and put everything up.
I’m also writing a review–so much fun. I love to read (of course) and writing out a review just adds to the pleasure. I have some highly recommended books on my TBR shelf! Stay tuned for links to Satin Sheets Reviews when I post.
I’m ready for writing group this week. We only have two submissions, but it feels great to be starting out the new year. I see the vista in the distance. 🙂
Later this week, I am escaping to the beach where it is quiet and peaceful. I need outta this office. I’ll post some lovely pics of the ocean when I get there so that you all can have a mini vacation, too. And yes, I’ll be adding to the word count while there.

This year, I am taking on the challenge, inspired by Ray Bradbury, to Write 1/Submit 1 . My firm commitment is writing one story each month and submitting one story each month (not necessarily the same story). My stretch goal is to do this weekly. Yes. Weekly.
