Welcome to the 1NS blog hop!

July 4, 2012 by Kerry 73 Comments

click the button to go to the main blog hop site!

Thanks for stopping by my site on the tour! The 1NS line is dear to me–I simply love the concept of the series and the way lots of authors can add stories to the line. I’ve read a ton of the 1NS books–and they are all awesome in their own way. You can find contemporary, science fiction, time travel, western, menage, m/m — pretty much anything you want. I still have quite a few to read, but I am certainly working my way through them.

I currently have two 1NS out: Senator, Mine and Druid, Mine. I have a third releasing this fall–Pharaoh, Mine.  ALL MINE, my sub series title, ties them together. All of them are time travel and all of them include a hot man somewhere in time. I simply love exploring ancient worlds. And hot men. All. Mine.

Just for leaving a comment, I’ll give away two copies of winner’s choice of either Senator, Mine or Druid, Mine. Please leave your email address so I can contact the winners.  Okay, and just for fun, I will also give away a $20 gift certificate to Amazon to one winner who posts an answer to this question in their response: If you had to choose a moment in history–what would be your favorite time/place to read about? Be specific! Of course, I would love for you to follow my blog, and follow me on Twitter!

Everyone who comments is also entered into the grand prize drawings:

1st place – A Kindle Touch

2nd place – a $50 Amazon.com gift certificate

3rd place – a box of Goodies from Coffee Time Romance – US ONLY (books, swag and other goodies)

Make sure you click the 1NS blog hop button at the top of this post to return to the main site and follow the hop! Lots of great authors and prizes await! If you haven’t picked up a 1NS to read yet, I urge you to give one a try.

I am now following you on Twitter, Facebook, and your blog! 🙂

I love reading about all time periods, if done right. The one I’m currently stuck on is between 1200-1600. Highlander tales are all I’ve been reading about lately.

    Thanks for the giveway!

Congrats on your upcoming release!! There are so many different periods in time i would have loved to visit and explore! The Victorian days would probably be my favorite to go back to. The beautiful gowns, the masquerade balls, the secrecy, the rules of society that everyone loves to break… It would be a fun place to go back to. Thank you so much for the giveaway and the awesome hop! 😀

My favorite time and place to read about, is England anywhere from the 800’s to the 1800’s. I prefer the books that take you there, where you can see the clothes, hear the horses and feel the sting of the salt air whipping against your face as you face down the English Guard from your Pirate ship. I like knights, pirates, lords and ladies. I prefer those time periods mostly I think, becuase it was so much harder for a woman to be what she wanted back then. She had to struggle and fight for what she wanted to be and what she wanted to do. Modern women do not have the struggle and fight that they had back then. I was born in the wrong era. I would have loved to have lived back then. I would have been one of those stubborn women who were beaten daily for their imputence.

I have not read a lot of time travel, but enjoyed the ones I have read. If I had to pick a favorite, it would probably be Scotland Highlands in the 1200-1300s. There is just something about those highlander men. 😉

As for my most fascinated period… I would say in the 1800s time where the girls always dressed in those beautiful dresses and men treated women with respect. I’m not sure if there’s a name for it or not. I’m not very good with my history.

I would, however, be partial to meeting up with a stranger in a hut in Fiji, with nothing but the crystal clear blue ocean, schools of manta rays, and fresh seafood to accompany us. I really had a struggle with which point in time I would like to see, but in the end I decided France during Louis XIV golden reign. It was supposedly a time of great prosperity (all things being relative of course) and great peace under a respected king. My second place idea was also in France at the unveiling of the Eiffel Tower for the World’s Fair. Did you know it was originally supposed to be torn down after the Fair. Can you imagine a world without the Eiffel Tower?

Regency England, but written with more realistic detail than the average regency romance. I read a book (title escapes me) about a reality show set in regency England and I enjoyed the problems the cast had with trying to live authentically. Needless to say it was not the romantic picture the romances usually portray.

so fun! My father’s family was from Malta, a tiny island in the Med. Sea. There are temple sites there that predate the Egyptian pyramids that are very mysterious, but are thought to be Matriarchal based societies. Most of the temples are aligned for summer/winter solstices as well as underground chambers with chanting niches and spiral decorations. The ‘sleeping goddess’ or ‘dreamer’ of Malta was found there. Maybe something interesting in the mystery of the history there… 🙂

I would love to either go back to the Civil War Days – that time in our history always fascinates me – or else back in the 60’s – I’d be a Flower Child for sure!

I’ve read and reviewed your 1st first 1NS! If I could go back in time it would be to the 50’s. I love the music, and I just want to live in Happy Days!

I’ve always liked oldies and I would’ve loved to have a poodle skirt. So if I could go back in time I’d go back and enjoy going to a sock hop and hanging out at the Malt Shoppe.

I loved your first book and am looking forward to the second. There is something about a Scottish guy in a kilt. Maybe a trip to the old west would be hot as well.

I loved Senator Mine and can’t wait to read Druid Mine. Time travel, science fiction, military romance, contemporary, you name it, there’s probably a 1NS story for it. The time travel romances are one of my favorites and I have to say, I’m totally digging the cover. Love a man with a little facial hair.

I love reading about old Russia, prior to the USSR when Tsars ruled. Thanks for the chance to win.

Thanks for participating in the blog hop, Kerry! Your covers are absolutely beautiful!

I would either go back to the time of the Pharoahs, or even further back to the time of the dinosaurs. 🙂

Hi Kerry! I really love your covers…those boys are beautiful!!! If I had to pick a time or place to read about it would be back in the time of the Vikings, like the year 890. There would be lots of hot warriors raiding and pillaging in retribution of something or another! Lol…I got sidetracked by hot Viking warriors…oh so yummy!!!

Wow! I love blog hops!! I also love the 1NS series. I only have read a few of them but what I have read, I love. To answer your question, I would love to read about any tropical place. I’m not picky about which county or anything just as long as it has a beach and hot cabana boys!! 😉 I just need the time period to not be historical because I just can’t get into that!! Thanks for the giveaway!!
