As the year comes to and end, I always think about what’s been accomplished and what I want to get done the next year. It’s always a time of excitement and promise–never a depressing time.
Writing-wise, I finished off this year with lots of good stuff. October saw the release of The Guardian of Blackbird Inn, a book I really enjoyed writing. In November and December, I worked hard on edits for my mermaid novel, Storm Damaged, that will be releasing with Loose Id on January 26. I am so excited about that one–I have wanted to be with Loose Id for a long time and I am super happy to finally get the chance.
I also just Indie pubbed Before the Rain, my dystopian assassin story that was originally in the Come Undone: Stories Inspired by the Songs of Duran Duran anthology. I hope I can reach another audience by publishing it separately. It was also a fun story–I’d been wanting to write a dystopian/science fiction romance for a while. Fiona Jayde did my lovely cover.
What will 2016 bring? Oh boy, lots already in progress!!! I have a joint project with Lia Davis that is going to be SO much fun. And I also have a big announcement–as soon as contracts are signed. And…several other projects in the works. It is going to be a very busy year.
Just the way I like it.
Happy New Year!
